Stages of formation of socionics
Historical help
Socionics was born on scientific materials of the famous
psychologists of the ÕÕ-th century S.Freud and C.Jung who established that
people differ in definite mental qualities which are legiblly observed in life,
and they can precisely be assorted. So the typology of C.Jung has appeared.
Why are there psychological types of the people? What regularities are caused to
their existence? The Lithuanian scolar Àushra Àugustinavichute has found the
answers on these questions. She has elaborated the structure of mentality of the
person on the basis of structuring of S.Freud.
C.Jung in his investigations has advanced ideas of S.Freud and has given the concept of "a mental function", has elaborated
the theory of psychological types, the basis of which was a dependence of
thinking and behavior from the structure of human mentality. Aushra
Augustinavichute has improved typology created by Jung, having used the theory
of an information metabolism of À.Kempinsky, and has put a beginning of a new
science socionics, in a ground by which one the dual human nature and existence
of 16 personality types of information metabolism lays.
In America, independently of investigations of A.Àugustinavichute
two women Katarina Briggs and Izabel Briggs Mayers in 30-s years, on the basis
of classification of Jung and own observations have revealed 16 types of the
people and their personal pecularities. They have elaborated the "
Indicator of Types Mayers-Briggs", which now is widely used as the
psychological instrument for personality type definition. The characteristics of
each of 16 types completely coincide the characteristics which has described by
A.Àugustinavichute.
À.Àugustinavichute as distinct from Mayers-Briggs has
elaborated the model of mental structure of each personality type, which
demonstrates a constitution of intellect, feature of thinking, helps to reveal
the basic traits of the personality of the definite socionic personality type.
Due to this pattern it is possible to understand and to forecast motives of
behavior of the person. And in addition she has elaborated the theory of
interpersonal relations which explains these or those relations between people,
which helps to understand regularities of information exchange. These
discoveries explain structure of mentality and gear of its activity, interplays
between the people in the socion.
